An architectural family, not a style

Provenance is the parent Series for Sunlit Studio’s European-influenced American estate architecture. It is not a reproduction of European historical architecture. It takes what has lasted in the residential traditions of France, Normandy and Belgium — proportion, material honesty, restraint — and builds it into houses designed for how American estates are actually lived in and actually built.

A Series holds Collections. Each Collection is a distinct material and atmospheric expression within the same architectural lineage. Provenance begins with Ivory & Ash.

Ivory & Ash draws from French, Normandy and Belgian residential architecture, interpreted through a refined American estate vocabulary. Pale ivory and milky mineral masonry, steep weathered charcoal rooflines, mushroom-taupe shutters, warm smoked wood entrances and tall, narrow window proportions — layered with restraint rather than decorated.
